The threatened diabetic foot runs on three clocks. Spreading infection can destroy it in hours, ischaemia stalls healing over days to weeks, and a wound that stalls over weeks signals that one of the other two is unaddressed. The team's central job is to read those clocks and route the patient to the right intervention, in the right order, first time. The cardinal rule is to control infection, restore flow, then close or reconstruct.
B02 introduces WIfI, GLASS and the BEST-CLI and BASIL-2 trials; this module applies them to the team's decision: sequencing infection control, flow and reconstruction, and individualising open versus endovascular repair. It adds amputation-level decisions that weigh healing against function and survival, primary amputation as a shared decision, long-term surveillance, fast-track referral targets, and the explicit decision that salvage is no longer the goal.
Content is tiered at Foundation, Core and Advanced level, with two algorithms and three case vignettes. You receive the Teaching Document, the Evidence Base, the slide deck, a narrated video and an audio overview.
